IntriCon Tibbetts Corp (formerly Tibbetts Industries) was founded in 1945 as a developer and manufacturer of miniature electro-acoustic transducers
for the Hearing Health industry. Tibbetts is recognized
as a pioneer in the development of miniature
transducer and telecoil technology and the company's
components can be found in hearing instruments of nearly
all major manufacturers.
In 2007, Tibbetts was acquired by IntriCon Corporation. Intricon’s pioneering work spans more than 30 years and is focused on four main markets: precision miniature medical, electronics, hearing health, and professional audio and communications. IntriCon was formerly known as Resistance Technology Inc, and employs more than 650 people at facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia. IntriCon common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Stock Market under the symbol "IIN".
R. Audemars was founded as an independent company
in 1945 but has a history dating back to 1898 when the
family enterprise started producing components for the
Swiss watch industry. Today the company produces telecoils
for international hearing instrument manufacturers
and produces a variety of micro-technology products
used in a range of industries including timepiece, automotive,
medical, photonics, communications, and RFID
